Kenneth D. Slicker, 82, Stevens Point, died Monday, Dec. 16, 2012, at his home.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Stevens Point, with the Rev. Jerzy Rebacz officiating. Burial was in Guardian Angel Cemetery in Stevens Point.
Visitation was scheduled to be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Pisarski/Dzikoski Funeral Home in Stevens Point, with a 6 p.m. parish rosary, and at the church from 9 a.m. Friday until the Mass.
A memorial in his name will be established at a later date.

Mr. Slicker was born June 6, 1930, in Stevens Point, a son of the late Edward and Helen (Wallock) Slicker. He attended local schools and graduated from P.J. Jacobs High School in Stevens Point. He also attended St. John’s University in Minnesota for music.
He was inducted into the U.S. Army Oct. 2, 1951, in Milwaukee, and was honorably discharged Sept. 10, 1953, at Camp Carson in Colorado.
He was married to Therese Migas on Aug. 27, 1955, at St. Mary of Mount Carmel Catholic Church in Fancher. She died on June 6, 2007.
Mr. Slicker worked for a number of years in his father’s liquor store. He then opened and operated Slicker Maytag Appliance Store and Repair in Stevens Point for many years. He later operated a general grocery store in Amherst Junction. In his later years he assisted his wife with her daily operations of her insurance agency.
He played organ for St. Peter Catholic Church and St. Joseph Catholic Church.
Survivors include numerous nephews, nieces and cousins, and a foster brother, Leo Meronek, Plover.
He was also preceded in death by one son, Alfred; one daughter, Therese; and one brother, Russ (Lucille) Slicker.
