Leon J. Kosiec Sr., 85, Rosholt, died Wednesday, Dec. 12, 2012, at the Wisconsin Veterans Home in King.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Adalbert Catholic Church in Rosholt, with the Rev. Marcin Mankowski officiating. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
Visitation will be at the church from 9:30 a.m. Saturday until the Mass.
Contributions in his memory can be made to St. Adalbert’s building fund.
Pisarski/Dzikoski Funeral Home of Stevens Point assisted the family with arrangements.

Kosiec was born Jan. 16, 1927, in Chicago, Ill., a son of the late Karl and Mary (Krzus) Kosiec. He graduated from Chicago Technical College with a degree in mechanical engineering.
He entered the U.S. Army on April 30, 1945, in Chicago, Ill. His honorable discharge, at the rank of Tech 5, took place Nov. 30, 1946, at Fort Sheridan, Ill.
He was married to Feliksa Kusy on June 6, 1953, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Chicago, Ill.
Mr. Kosiec worked as a plant engineer for the BASF Chemical Co. in Chicago, Ill., before his retirement. He and his wife moved to the Rosholt area in 1989.
Survivors include his wife; three sons, Leon Jr. (Cindy), Plover, Richard (Rosemary Richmond), Rosholt, and Michael, Carlsbad, Calif.; two daughters, Mary (Ken Arellano) Wolf, Chicago, Ill., and Bernadette (Chris) Saad, Wayne, Ill.; nine grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter.
He was also preceded in death by two sisters, Lorraine Laskowsky and Lillian Dybal.
