James J. Kusch, 98, Stevens Point, died Wednesday, Dec. 5, 2012, at Harmony Assisted Living in Stevens Point.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Dec. 14, at Peace United Church of Christ in Stevens Point, with the Rev. Scott Crandall officiating. Visitation will be at the church from 10 a.m. Friday, Dec. 14, until the services.

Mr. Kusch was born April 23, 1914, in Illinois, a son of the late William and Barbara (Batek) Kusch. He moved with his family to Milwaukee as a child.
He was married to Marion Halazon on April 26, 1941, in Milwaukee. She died in 2007.
He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
After his honorable discharge he returned to Milwaukee and began a career as a truck driver. He worked for various transportation companies until his retirement.
The couple moved to the Stevens Point area in 1978.
Survivors include four sons, James Jr., Richard, Michael (Mary) and Mark; five daughters, Jean Smith, Ellen Kusch, Lorraine (Ken) Doughty, Sandee Huss and Cheryl Pruitt; 24 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by one sister and two brothers.
