Robert A. Hartleben, 85, Plover, died Monday, Dec. 3, 2012, at his home.
Private services will be held at the Veterans Cemetery in King.

Mr. Hartleben was born Oct. 25, 1927, in Wittenberg, a son of the late Harry and Selma (Jensen) Hartleben. He graduated from Spencerian Business College in Milwaukee in 1951 with a business administration degree.
He entered the U.S. Army on July 12, 1946, in Fort Monmouth, N.J. He served as a private first class and earned the Army Occupation Medal and the World War II Victory Medal. He was honorably discharged Aug. 11, 1947.
He was married to Mary E. Davies on Jan. 29, 1955, in Clinton. She died in 2008.
The couple settled in Milwaukee where he worked at Kraft Foods. They moved to Waupaca in 1961 and he worked at Woody’s Cheese in Waupaca where he retired in 1989.
The couple moved to Plover in 1998.
Survivors include one son, Gary, Waupaca; one daughter, Sandra James, Milwaukie, Ore.; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by one brother, Willard.
