John M. “J. Mike” Suplicki, 65, Stevens Point, died Friday, Nov. 16, 2012, at the Wisconsin Veterans Home in King.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 24, at Pisarski/Dzikoski Funeral Home in Stevens Point, with Deacon Richard Rozumalski officiating. Burial with full military honors will follow in St. Stephen Cemetery in Stevens Point.
Visitation will be at the funeral home from 9 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 24, until the service, with an Elks Lodge No. 641 ritual at 10:45 a.m.
A memorial will be established in his name.

Mr. Suplicki was born May 3, 1947, in Stevens Point, a son of the late John R. and Mary (Schoettel) Suplicki. He attended St. Stephen Catholic Grade School and was a 1965 graduate of P.J. Jacobs High School.
He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War, entering service on Aug. 8, 1966, in Milwaukee, and being honorably discharged, at the rank of corporal, on July 15, 1968, at Fort Lewis, Wash.
He worked at the Copps Distribution Center in Stevens Point, both in the warehouse and as a truck driver, for many years before retiring in 2005.
He served as Past Exalted Ruler of Elks Lodge 641, member of Moose Lodge 1572 and American Legion Post 6 and life member of Stevens Point AMVETS Post 1051.
Survivors include two sisters, Mary Kay (Robert) Hamilton and Carol (George) Strasser both of Stevens Point; six nieces and nephews; and nine grandnieces and grandnephews.
He was also preceded in death by one sister, Susan Zywicki.
