Michael A. Penne, 85, a resident at the Wisconsin Veterans Home in King, formerly of the town of Buena Vista, died Thursday, Nov. 15, 2012, at Riverside Hospital in Waupaca.
Visitation will be held at Boston Funeral Home in Stevens Point from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday. Interment will be in Wisconsin Veterans Cemetery in King at a later date.

Mr. Penne was born May 14, 1927, in Waterloo, Iowa, a son of the late Joseph and Alberta (Odgen) Penne. He grew up in the Chicago area in Illinois. He attended local schools before going to a trade school to become a plumber.
He was inducted into the U.S. Army and was honorably discharged.
He worked as a union plumber for 45 years at various mills in the area.
He was a past member of the Shriners and Masons.
Survivors include one daughter, Pat Penne-Hampel, Plover; one brother; three sisters; and two grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by one daughter, Barbara McConnell; and his siblings.
