Frank M. Patoka Jr., 80, Shawano, a Portage County native, died Tuesday, Nov. 13, 2012, at a nursing home.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at St. Martin Catholic Church in Cecil, with the Rev. David Barrett officiating. Military rites will be conducted by Shawano American Legion Post 117 at the church following the service. Inurnment will be in Sacred Heart Mausoleum in Shawano.
Visitation will at the church from 10 a.m. Friday until the service.

Mr. Patoka was born May 29, 1932, in Portage County, a son of the late Frank M. and Clara (Trzebiatowski) Patoka Sr.
He enlisted with the U.S. Army in 1953 and served during the Korean War.
He was married to Dorothy Jurgella on Aug. 25, 1956, in Stevens Point. She died on Dec. 9, 2006.
He worked as a diesel mechanic for Inland Diesel.
He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
Survivors include one son, Roger (Paula), Milwaukee; one daughter, Shelly Johnson, Shawano; two brothers, Eugene (Debbie), Plover, and John (Terry), Menasha; two sisters, Pearl Drewa, Appleton, and Betty (Larry) Repinski, Stevens Point; and three grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by three sisters, Delores, Bridget and Vi.
