Bernice E. Bembenek, 90, Stevens Point, died Monday, Nov. 5, 2012, at Sylvan Crossings Assisted Living and Memory Care in Stevens Point, while under the care of Ministry Home Care-Hospice Services.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Polonia, with the Rev. Gregory Michaud officiating. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
Visitation was at the church from 10 a.m. Saturday until the Mass.

Mrs. Bembenek was born Oct. 10, 1922, in the town of Stockton, a daughter of the late Charles and Elizabeth (Kirshling) Check. She attended local schools.
She was married to Chester A. Bembenek on Nov. 28, 1942, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Polonia. He died on July 12, 2012.
The couple settled in Stevens Point until moving to Wausau in 1961. After her husband’s retirement in 1979, the couple returned to the Stevens Point area.
Survivors include three sons, Chester (Elsie), Wausau, Larry, Green Bay, and Daniel (Holly), Custer; two daughters, Mary (Gene) Plamann, Antigo, and Jeanne (Steven) Regnier, Plover; 10 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson.
She was also preceded in death by six sisters, seven brothers, one daughter-in-law and one great-granddaughter.
