Celebration of life services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at Grace Lutheran Church in Eau Claire, with Pastor Rolf Nestingen officiating. Interment will be in Lutheran Cemetery in Eau Claire.
Visitation will be at Stokes, Prock & Mundt Funeral Chapel in Altoona from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday, Nov. 9, and at the church from 9 am. Saturday until the services.

Ms. Kunkel was born Aug. 7, 1958, in Ann Arbor, Mich., a daughter of Donald and Barbara (Emanuelson) Johnson. She graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire (UW-Eau Claire) with a masters of science degree in nursing, with an adult medical-surgical clinical nurse specialist role prep.
She was married to Thomas Kunkel in 1981. They divorced in June after 30 years of marriage.
She taught at UW-Eau Claire for six years as a clinical assistant professor. She also worked as a hospice nurse and as an oncology nurse at Luther Hospital.
She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church.
Survivors include two daughters, Brianna (Joseph) Iverson, Williston, N.D., and Heather Lucinda Kunkel, Winona, Minn.; two sons, Brandon (fiancee Alison Thompson), Ocoee, Fla., and James, Eau Claire; her mother, Barbara Curwen, Custer; her father, Stevens Point; one brother, Donald Johnson, Florida; two sisters, Lori (David) Scott, Barnesville, Minn., and D. Lynn (Ross) Paulson, Mercer; and her stepmother, Grace Johnson, Stevens Point.
