Frank Mata, 62, Plainfield, died Wednesday, Oct. 31, 2012, at the Wisconsin Veterans Home, King.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at New Life Assembly of God in Plainfield, with the Rev. Howard Kruize officiating. Burial with military honors will be at East Oasis Cemetery in the town of Oasis in Waushara County.
Visitation will be at the church from 9:30 a.m. Tuesday until the services.

Mr. Mata was born Sept. 7, 1950, in Uvalde, Texas, a son of the late Encarnacion and Luz (Jimenez) Mata.
He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War.
He was employed as border patrol officer in Texas before moving to Plainfield.
Survivors include four children, Shaine Mata, Stephen Mata, Eric Merritt and Joseph Facundo; seven siblings, Irma (David) Luera, Diane Kramer, Sylvia (Neal) Tess, Ernie Mata, Robert Mata, Olga Maldonado and Melva (Sergio) Rodriguez; and 10 grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by one brother, Encarnacion “Joe” Mata.
