Catherine A. Huettner, 88, a resident at Heritage Manor in Dubuque, Iowa, since 2009, formerly of Stevens Point, died unexpectedly Saturday, Oct. 27, 2012, following a heart attack.
Private services will be held at a later date.

Mrs. Huettner was born Jan. 13, 1924, in Chicago, Ill., a daughter of the late David and Justine Buchmiller.
She was married to Cyril “Cy” Huettner in September of 1951 in Chicago, Ill. He died in September of 1981.
She lived most of her adult life in Stevens Point where she worked as a secretary and bookkeeper. She later pursued a college degree in elementary education and subsequently taught second grade for 23 years at Washington Elementary School in Stevens Point until her retirement.
She was a member of the Sweet Adelines and a women’s barbershop quartet in Stevens Point.
Survivors include one son, Mark (Marion), and two granddaughters.
She was also preceded in death by her stepfather, stepmother, stepbrothers and one sister, Mary.
