Norbert A. Kiefer, 80, Rockford, Ill., a Stevens Point native, died Saturday, Oct. 20, 2012, at St. Anthony Medical Center in Rockford, Ill.
A Funeral Mass was held Saturday at St. Peter Cathedral in Rockford, Ill.
Visitation was at Fitzgerald Funeral Home and Crematory in Rockford Friday and at the church Saturday.
Memorials in his name should be given to the American Cancer Society, 4312 East State St. Rockford, IL 61108.

Mr. Kiefer was born June 9, 1932, in Stevens Point, a son of the late Peter and Minnie (Stegmeyer) Kiefer.
He was married to Elizabeth Cera on Sept. 16, 1950, in Stevens Point. She died in 2007.
They moved from Stevens Point to Rockford, Ill., in 1956. He worked for more than 40 years at Browning Ferris as a mechanic.
He served as a St. Peter Cathedral Boy Scout leader for more than 40 years, and was involved in all aspects of scouting and organizing many campouts and picnics for Boy Scout troop.
Survivors include one daughter, Marilyn (Ken) Ullrich, Rockford, Ill.; four sons, Donald, David (Connie) and Keith (Jan), all of Rockford, Ill., and Gary (Julie), Poplar Grove, Ill.; grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and a special friend and companion, Bobbie Griffin, Rockford, Ill.
He was also preceded in death by two sons, Joseph and Kenneth.
