The Pacelli High School volleyball team will look to make another deep run playoff run this season.
The Cardinals return four senior starters from last year’s squad, which advanced to the WIAA Division 3 Sectionals for the second consecutive season last fall.
Sixth-seeded Pacelli (23-5) opened up postseason play at home on Tuesday, Oct. 16, against 11th-seeded Colby, and cruised to a 3-0 win in a WIAA Division 3 Regional Quarterfinal to set up showdown at third-seeded Auburndale at 7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 18.
“That first playoff game is always a tough one,” said Pacelli volleyball head coach Ray Gutowski. “And every night it seems like we’re doing a little bit better.
