John A. Bernas, 62, Plover, died Thursday, Oct. 18, 2012, at his home.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church in Stevens Point, with the Rev. Tom Lindner officiating. Burial will be in the Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery in King.
Visitation will be at the church from 10 a.m. Tuesday until the services.
A memorial in his name will be established at a later date.

Mr. Bernas was born April 4, 1950, in Stevens Point, a son of Edward and Genevieve (Walczak) Bernas.
He served in the Army National Guard 32nd Division 120th Field Artillery for 25 years, retiring as a master sergeant.
He was employed by Ed Bernas Heating as a sheet metal journeyman for more than 40 years.
He was a member of the 32nd Division Association.
Survivors include his parents, Stevens Point; three brothers, Tom (Stephanie), Plover, and Jim (Cindy) and Bob (Carol), both of Stevens Point; and one sister, Donna (Dave) Suchon, Stevens Point.
