James J. “Mr. Z” Zinda, 70, Port Edwards, a Stevens Point native, died Friday, Oct. 12, 2012, at his home.
A memorial visitation will be held at 9 a.m. Friday, Oct. 19, at Feldner/Ritchay Funeral Home in Nekoosa and a prayer service at 11 a.m., with the Rev. John Swing officiating. Burial will be in Guardian Angel Cemetery in Stevens Point.

Mr. Zinda was born Aug. 2, 1942, in Stevens Point, a son of the late Raymond and Kathryn (Singer) Zinda.
He was married to Virginia “Ginny” Plasky on May 27, 1967, at St. Bronislava Catholic Church in Plover.
He worked at the Congress Bar and Grill, Stevens Point, Mead Inn in Wisconsin Rapids, Nekoosa Papers Lodge on Nepco Lake and the Bulls Eye Country Club in Wisconsin Rapids, where he recently retired due to illness.
Survivors include his wife; one daughter, Lisa (Lee DeBoer) Zinda, Arpin; one son, Steven (Kim), Onalaska; one brother, Robert (Mary), Oconomowoc; two grandchildren; and three stepgrandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by one brother, Ronald.
