With the outright Central Wisconsin Conference-10 (CWC-10) Title on the line, things weren’t looking good for the Rosholt High School volleyball team on Tuesday, Oct. 9.
The Hornets lost their first two games to Wild Rose in the finals of CWC-10 Pool Play on Tuesday to face an 0-2 deficit, before they rallied to win the next two and force a decisive fifth game.
There, Rosholt stormed out to an early 10-1 lead, and went on to win 15-4 to claim sole possession of its first Conference Title since 2008 with a 3-2 victory.
“It feels amazing,” said senior Carrissa Wright of the comeback. “I knew we could pull it off, because we’ve done it before.”
“It was nerve-wracking, and yet at the end, it couldn’t be more intense,” said first-year Rosholt volleyball head coach Angie Bricko. “This was a great win.
“It’s what we played for all conference season, and what we’ve been working for,” said Bricko.
