David and Cheryl Christianson reopened the Coffee Cup Café, located at 167 Main St., Rosholt, in June, after it had been closed for a year prior to the June opening. The small, family-style restaurant is a true family restaurant, as the Christianson’s two children, Heath, 26, and Cassie, 24, help with the operation.
“I enjoy working at my parent’s restaurant,” said Heath Christianson. “There is the freedom to interact with customers. It is truly a family-style restaurant. We show that we care and that isn’t something you usually get with a corporate or chain restaurant… our customers are not just another table.”
Before reopening the Coffee Cup, David and Cheryl Christianson had previously owned Car City Café in Iola. “When we took over the Rosholt café, we didn’t change the name, said Cheryl Christianson. “If we had, people would call it the Coffee Cup anyway.”
