Mildred A. Hagen, 97, Rosholt, died Tuesday, Oct. 9, 2012, at her home.
A funeral service was held Monday at Faith Lutheran Church in Rosholt, with the Rev. Michael Peuse officiating. Burial was in Alban Lutheran Cemetery in the town of New Hope.
Visitation was at the church Monday.

Mrs. Hagen was born Jan. 13, 1915, in the town of New Hope, a daughter of the late Perry and Hazel (Danielson) Swenson.
She was married to Carl A. Hagen on Dec. 28, 1935, at North New Hope Lutheran Church in the town of New Hope. He died on Aug. 5, 1973.
She was an artist who specialized in rosemaling, Tole painting, quilting, knitting and crocheting.
She was active in the Rosholt Garden Club, having won at the Portage County Fair several times for her floral arrangements, and as a member at Faith Lutheran Church in Rosholt. She was a member of the Red Hatters.
Survivors include one sister, Donna Dunbar, Bancroft; and nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Phillip and Norris Swenson; and two sisters, Irene Rosenquist and Eleanor Brooks.
