Eleanore Firkus 87, Stevens Point, died Wednesday, Sept. 26, 2012, at Ministry St. Michael’s Hospital in Stevens Point.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church in Stevens Point, with the Rev. Thomas Lindner officiating.
Visitation will be at Shuda Funeral Chapel in Stevens Point from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, Sept. 28, and at the church from 10 to 10:45 a.m. Saturday.

Mrs. Firkus was born Dec. 27, 1924, in Stevens Point, a daughter of the late Carl and Agnes (Walenski) Wrycha. She attended local schools and worked in a factory in Chicago during the war.
She was married to Raymond Firkus on May 21, 1947, at St. Mary Catholic Church in Torun. He died in 1992.
She worked as a waitress for weddings.
Survivors include six sons, Richard (Annette), Gerald (Kathi), Wayne (Penny), Jeffery (Shelly), Donald (Michele) and Alan (Brenda); one daughter, Elaine Kearney; three sisters, Adeline Zaidel, Florence (Chester) Wojtalewicz and Rita Kozak; 11 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by one sister, Clara Glenn; two brothers, Ray and Edward Wrycha; and one son-in-law, Bill Kearney.
