Nordis M. Anderson, 98, Wild Rose, mother of two Portage County residents, died Sunday, Sept. 23, 2012, at Wild Rose Manor in Wild Rose.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at West Holden Lutheran Church in Wild Rose. Burial will be in Union Cemetery in the town of Wautoma.
Visitation will be at the church from 9 a.m. Thursday until the service.
Mrs. Anderson was born Nov. 7, 1913, in the town of Wautoma in Waushara County, a daughter of the late Torge and Maria (Pederson) Stea.
She was married to Arnold Anderson on June 6, 1935, in Waukegan, Ill. He died on March 23, 1974.
She was a cook in the Wild Rose Public Schools for more than 20 years.
Survivors include two sons, John (Joan), Wild Rose, and Chuck (Nancy), Stevens Point; two daughters, Carol (Sidney) Auck, Wautoma, and Mary (David) Broadwell, Plover; 14 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by three sisters, Torney Sorenson, Anne Juul and Elizabeth Thompson; and three brothers, Peter (Julius) Stea, Trygve Stea and Arnold Stea.
