Bette Ellen Gaulke, 91, a resident at Wellington Place in Whiting, formerly of Wisconsin Rapids, died Friday, Sept. 21, 2012, at Wellington Place, while under the care of Aspirus Comfort Care and Hospice Services.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Wisconsin Rapids, with the Rev. John Grohs officiating. Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery in Wisconsin Rapids.
Visitation will be at Taylor, Vollert and Jennings Funeral Home in Wisconsin Rapids from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday and at the church from 10 a.m. Tuesday until the services.

Mrs. Gaulke was born March 26, 1921, in Wisconsin Rapids, a daughter of the late Albert and Eva (Barney) Behrend. She graduated from Lincoln High School in Wisconsin Rapids.
She was married to Neil Gaulke on July 12, 1941. He died on Jan. 27, 1987.
In 1954 she designed the house that she and her family lived in for 57 years.
She was a lifetime member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, serving with the Evening Guild for many years.
Survivors include one daughter, Linda (Carl) Luebstorf, Stevens Point; one son, Bill (Mary), New Prague, Minn.; and three grandsons.
She was also preceded in death by one brother, William Behrend.
