To love design is to own a farm shop. Agriculture since time immemorial has been of the “shop” mentality. Which is to say design. Which is to attempt stuff that works. Which is to say, stuff that works better than other stuff.
It ought be written in the Bill of Rights that design in all things is a basic human good. I am thinking of the catsup bottle that was on the table last night. Perhaps you know the design, plastic bottle, snap cap, capacity about 20 ounces. The cap is removable in its entirety in case you want to pour in a gulubrious fashion.
I know of desires like this, baked beans come to mind, when a little squirt of catsup isn’t sufficient. Myself, I am about half beans half catsup, then the other half sauerkraut. For you smarties out there, you can go ahead and point out there are not mathematically three halves to a whole. I will counter in the case of baked beans, catsup and sauerkraut there are three halves to a whole and it’s too bad if mathematics doesn’t understand why this is so.
