Lucille “Lu” Chapman, 98, formerly of 2733 Algoma St., Stevens Point, died Monday, Sept. 17, 2012, at Merrill Hills Manor in Waukesha, while under the care of Horizon Hospice.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Stevens Point. Burial will be in St. Stephen Cemetery in Stevens Point.
Visitation will be at the church from 9 a.m. Thursday until the Mass.

Mrs. Chapman was born Oct. 6, 1913, in Stevens Point, a daughter of the late Leo and Elizabeth Hintz.
She was married to Harold Chapman in 1934. He died in January 1994.
A life-long resident of Stevens Point, she was active in church and community groups, the Bloodmobile program, Knights of Columbus Auxiliary, bridge clubs and Catholic Daughters of America.
Survivors include one son, Ronald (Rose), Stevens Point; two daughters, Carol (David) Kawleski, Hartland, and Sandra (Rex) Meyer, Green Bay; one sister, Carol (Rex) Ameigh, Stevens Point; 10 grandchildren; and 23 great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by three sisters, Esther Martini-Mason, Joan Polebitski and Florence Haley.
