Violet C. “Vi” Roberts, 78, town of Washington in Shawano County, a town of Amherst native and former Stevens Point resident, died Friday, Sept. 14, 2012, at her home.
A Memorial Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Sept. 21, at St. Martin Catholic Church in Cecil, with Deacon Mike Grzeca officiating. Private family inurnment will take place in the parish cemetery.
Visitation will be at the church from 10 a.m. Friday until the Mass.
Donations in her name may be given to a charity of one’s choice.

Mrs. Roberts was born June 10, 1934, on a small family farm in the town of Amherst, a daughter of the late Frank and Clara (Trzebiatowski) Patoka. She attended a small country school and St. Mary of Mount Carmel School and Church.
She was married to Bob Roberts on Dec. 27, 1952.
They lived in Milwaukee, but shortly after, moved to his hometown of Stevens Point where they owned and operated Bob’s TV and Appliance. She was the accountant/bookkeeper until the couple retired in 1986. Following their retirement, the couple moved to their summer home in Shawano. They wintered in Texas and Florida for many years.
She was a member of the Catholic Daughters of America, St. Stanislaus Parish of Stevens Point and St. Martin Catholic Church of Cecil, and she volunteered for Meals on Wheels.
Survivors include her husband; two daughters, Bobbi Cornell, Cecil, and Cindy Elliot, Stevens Point; two sons, Brian (friend Geri Williams) and Brad, both of Anchorage, Alaska; three brothers, Frank Patoka, Shawano, John (Terry) Patoka, Menasha, and Eugene (Debbie) Patoka, Plover; two sisters, Pearl Drewa, Menasha, and Betty (Larry) Repinski, Plover; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by two sisters, Delores Galloway and Bridget Kent.
