Myron G. Kontny, 76, Milwaukee, a Portage County native and brother of a Custer woman, died Monday, Sept. 3, 2012.
Visitation will be at Holy Cross Cemetery Chapel in Milwaukee from noon to 1 p.m. Friday, Sept. 7. Burial will follow.

Mr. Kontny was born Dec. 13, 1935, in Portage County, a son of the late Harry and Veronica (Bembenek) Kontny. He attended P.J. Jacobs High School in Stevens Point.
He was married to Diane Reiger. She preceded him in death.
He was then married to his second wife, Virginia.
He retired from GE Hotpoint in Milwaukee.
Survivors include his wife, Virginia; one son, Michael (Pam), Milwaukee; one sister, Viola Richter, Custer; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by one daughter, Debra; and one brother, James.
