Jessie Winecki, 98, a former Stevens Point resident, died Saturday, Aug. 25, 2012, at Four Corners Health Care Center in Durango, Colo.
A memorial service will be held at noon Saturday, Sept. 22, 2012, at Shuda Funeral Home in Stevens Point.
Visitation will be at the funeral home from 11 a.m. Saturday until the service.
Memorial contributions in her name can be made to the Humane Society of Portage County.

Mrs. Winecki was born Nov. 3, 1913, in Mayville.
She was married to Ben Winecki on May 13, 1936.
She was restaurant manager and cook at the Hot Fish Shop in Stevens Point, retiring in 1982.
She moved to Milwaukee in 2005 to live with her daughter. In October of 2011, she moved to Durango, Colo., to be closer to her granddaughter and great-grandchildren.
Survivors include four sons, Bob, San Antonio, Texas, Ron, Hot Springs, Ariz., Dick, Walnut Hills, Calif., and Bill, Pensacola, Fla.; two daughters, Susan Winecki, Milwaukee, and Mary Lou Lineberger, Bluffton, S.C.
