Donald T. “Butch” Johnson, 69, Weeki Wachee, Fla., a former Stevens Point resident, died Wednesday, Aug. 22, 2012.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Aug. 24, at St. Theresa Catholic Church in Spring Hill., Fla.
Visitation will be at Downing Funeral Home in Spring Hill, Fla., from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 23.
Donations may be made to St. Vincent de Paul.

Mr. Johnson was born Jan. 15, 1943, in Marquette, Mich., a son of the late Donald P. and Geraldine A. Johnson.
He served in the U.S. Navy.
He was married to Janice L. Shorkey 47 years ago.
He attended the Graduate School of Banking at the University of Wisconsin and served as a financial credit analyst for more than 40 years at a number of banks in Wisconsin and Florida, retiring in 2005.
He was a member of St. Theresa Catholic Church in Spring Hill., Fla.; a lifetime member of the Hernando Beach Yacht Club; a charter member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Men’s Auxiliary Post 9236; and a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles. He was a former member of the Pok-A-Snoz Snowmobile Club and the Optimist Club of Stevens Point.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, Donald G., Minnesota, and Randal, Wisconsin; one daughter, Kim Theune, Wisconsin; five sisters, Kathleen Clemens, California, Rose Vachon, Doris Smith and Anna Plummer, all of Michigan; and Geri Church, Louisiana; one brother, Karl, Michigan; and seven grandchildren.
