Wayne M. Walters, 74, Green Bay, a Stevens Point native, died Saturday, Aug. 11, 2012, following a long illness.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Agnes Catholic Church in Green Bay, with the Rev. Mark Falcone, O. Praem, officiating. Burial will be in Allouez Mausoleum in Green Bay.
Visitation will be at Blaney Funeral Home in Green Bay from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday and at the church from 10 a.m. Thursday until the Mass.
A memorial fund has been established in his memory.

Mr. Walters was born Jan. 22, 1938, in Stevens Point, a son of the late Emil and Lucy (Rody) Walters. He graduated from P.J. Jacobs High School in 1956 and the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point in 1961.
He was married to Judy Cole on Aug. 20, 1966.
He worked as traffic manager at Pauly Cheese before beginning a career in county government in 1968. He served as juvenile court administrator and later worked as a family court conciliator until his retirement in 1993.
In his retirement years, he worked part-time at St. Vincent Hospital in Green Bay for 15 years.
He was a volunteer at St. Agnes Church, St. Patrick Pantry and Santa Maria Nursing Home and was a supporter of Wisconsin Right to Life.
Survivors include his wife; one daughter, Lori (Todd Karchinski) Walters, Green Bay; one son, Michael, Green Bay; one sister, Mary Lou (Tom) Minard, Hoschton, Ga.; and one granddaughter.
He was also preceded in death by one brother, Jim Walters.
