Gertrude T. Feist, 92, a former resident at Oakridge Senior Living Community in Stevens Point, died Thursday, Aug. 9, 2012 at North Crest Assisted Living in Stevens Point.
A celebration of life will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Peter Catholic Church in Stevens Point, with the Rev. Arul Joseph Visuvasam officiating. Burial will be in Guardian Angel Cemetery in Stevens Point.
Visitation will be at the church from 9 a.m. Tuesday until the services.
Boston Funeral Home of Stevens Point assisted the family with arrangements. Condolences may be offered online at bostonfuneralhome.net.
Mrs. Feist was born Nov. 7, 1919, in Amherst, a daughter of the late Alexander and Mary (Wroblewski) Zblewski. She grew up and attended schools in the Amherst area.
She was married to Walter Feist Sr. on Oct. 4, 1941. He died in 1986.
She was a longtime member of St. Peter Catholic Church in Stevens Point. She volunteered at the Lincoln Center and Portage County Health Care Center.
Survivors include one son, Walter Jr., Stevens Point; three daughters, Joan (William) Day and Germaine (Joe) Meshak, both of Stevens Point, and Josephine Feist, Wisconsin Rapids; five grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by her siblings and one grandchild.
