The Point FASTPITCH 16U team finished as the runner-up at the ASA Northern Nationals 16U-B Tournament in Columbus, Wis., Wednesday through Sunday, Aug. 1-5.
The team, made up of players solely from the Point FASTPITCH league, started off 7-1 at the tournament, and then avenged its only loss with a 4-1 win over the Renegades of La Crosse to advance to the Championship on Sunday.
There, Point faced the Lady Irish, comprised of players from Michigan, Ohio and Indiana, and dropped a 4-0 decision to finish second out of 47 teams at the National Tournament.
