Richard L. Raasch, 59, Stevens Point, died Wednesday, Aug. 8, 2012, at St. Michael’s Hospital in Stevens Point, following an illness.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at the Pisarski/Dzikoski Funeral Home in Stevens Point, with Deacon Vernon Linzmeier officiating.
Visitation will be at the funeral home from 9 a.m. Monday until the service, with full military honors to follow the service. A Veterans of Foreign Wars ritual will be held at 10 a.m. at the funeral home.
Memorials in his name will be established at a later date.

Mr. Raasch was born Sept. 10, 1952, in Janesville, a son of Bernice (Green) Gruba and the late Lawrence Raasch.
He entered the U.S. Air Force on Jan. 11, 1972, serving during the Vietnam War. He was a sergeant. He received the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal, Air Force Outstanding Unit Award Medal and the Air Force Good Conduct Medal. He was honorably discharged on Feb. 4, 1977.
He was married to Elizabeth Nagorski on Aug. 15, 1992, in Stevens Point.
He worked for Kraze Trucking in Amherst as a truck driver.
He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Plover Post 10262.
Survivors include his wife; seven children, Michelle (Andrew) Campbell, Janesville, Melissa (Carlos) Duque, Virginia Beach, Va., Laurie Raasch, Plover, Lacey Hintz, Kaukauna, and Lisa Raasch, Joshua DeKeyser, and Ali Raasch, all of Stevens Point; and 14 grandchildren.
