The 8th annual Taste of the Town, a food-tasting/fundraising event for the Big Brothers Big Sisters (BBBS) of Central Wisconsin, will be held from 5 to 9 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 11, at Pfiffner Pioneer Park in Stevens Point.
The event allows people to sample food and drink from area businesses, while listening to live music and raising money for the BBBS one-on-one youth mentoring program.
“I am excited. I think this a really fun event,” said Sharon Jakusz, local BBBS executive director. “It’s a really nice evening down by the water.”
