Harland L. Harris, 85, Amherst Junction, died Thursday, July 26, 2012, at his home.
A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at Nelsonville Lutheran Church in Nelsonville, with the Rev. Jonathan Sachs officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be at the Jungers Holly Funeral Home in Amherst from 4 to 8 p.m. Saturday and at the church from 1 p.m. Sunday until the service.

Mr. Harris was born Oct. 31, 1926, in Mineral Point, a son of the late Harvey and Margaret (Anderson) Harris.
He was married to Betty Frederickson on Aug. 18, 1952, in Mineral Point. She died on Dec. 2, 2011.
He was employed in the Maintenance Department of the Waupaca Foundry for more than 20 years.
He was a member of the Nelsonville Lutheran Church and served on the Church Council. He was caretaker for the church cemetery for many years.
Survivors include one daughter, Linda (Larry) Raddatz, Nelsonville; five sons, Leland (Christy), Stevens Point, Duane (friend Judy Watland), Ron and Kurt (Betty Jo), all of Amherst Junction, and Don, Nelsonville; two sisters, Millie Horn, Santa Barbara, Calif., and Darlene Schmelzer, Madison; one brother, Francis (J) Harris, Titusville, Pa.; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
