Darren “Big D” Beacham, 51, a local business owner and a former coach for several local youth teams, died unexpectedly Saturday, July 21, 2012.
A celebration of his life will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Blue Top in Stevens Point.
A memorial fund has been established at Central Wisconsin Credit Union.
Mid-Wisconsin Cremation Society of Schofield assisted the family with arrangements. Condolences can be offered online at www.mwcs.ws.
Mr. Beacham was born May 16, 1961, in Sacramento, Calif., a son of Carl and Patricia (McGeary) Beacham. He graduated from Auburn High School.
He served in the U.S. Army.
He was the owner-operator of Dlb’s Carpentry, where he specialized in custom remodeling.
He coached hockey for the PCYOI Ice Hawks and baseball for the Stevens Point Little League.
Survivors include two sons, Darren Anthony and Carl Bryant; his parents; two brothers, David and Tod; two sisters, Karen and Tammy; and his former wife, Peggy Kudronowicz.
He was also preceded in death by one brother, Lenny.
