A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 2, 2012, at Frame Memorial Presbyterian Church in Stevens Point, with the Rev. Susan Zencka officiating. Burial will be in Restlawn Memorial Park in Grand Rapids.

Mrs. Riley was born Feb. 5, 1909, in Edgar, a daughter of the late Fred and Ella (Milbrant) Zimmermann.
She was married to George F. Riley, a Stevens Point attorney. He died on April 16, 1990.
She was active in the Portage County Democratic Party for whom she acted as secretary for many years. Her house was often visited by politicians, including senators, governors and national figures, including Robert Kennedy. Former U.S. Rep. Dave Obey presented her a “Lifetime Achievement Award” from the Democratic Party in 2009.
She was a member of Frame Memorial Presbyterian Church in Stevens Point.
Survivors include one sister, Eve Schroeder, California; two nieces, Lucille Larson, Milwaukee, and Heidi Mumm, Lake Mills; and five nephews, Wayne Zimmerman, Milwaukee, Jay Bates, California, Will Bates, Ohio, and Tom and Jim Lonsdorf, Schofield.
She was also preceded in death by one son, John, who died at birth; four brothers, Milbert, Norman, Ralph and Fred; and six sisters, Ethel, Bernice, Liol, Dorothy, Ferne and Evelyn.
