Sylvia M. Kezeske, 86, 7431 County Road Z, Custer, the former owner of Sylvia’s in Polonia, died Sunday, July 15, 2012, at her home.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Polonia, with the Rev. Greg Michaud officiating. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
Visitation will be at Pisarski/Dzikoski Funeral Home in Stevens Point from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday and at the church from 9:30 a.m. Thursday until the Mass. The Sacred Heart Rosary Society will combine with the general rosary at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Kezeske was born March 26, 1926, in the town of Alban, a daughter of the late Leo and Elizabeth (Stanislawski) Witkowski. She attended St. Adalbert Elementary School and Rosholt High School.
She was married to Lawrence Kezeske on June 22, 1946, at St. Adalbert Catholic Church in Polonia. He died on Dec. 8, 1954.
She and her husband operated The Rock Garden Inn on Konkolville’s corner in Polonia from 1947 to 1949. In 1949 they purchased the business that is currently called Sylvia’s Bar and Store in Polonia, which she has owned and operated for the past 63 years.
She was a member of the Sacred Heart Rosary Society.
Survivors include one son, James, Polonia; one sister, Ramona Kluck, Polonia; one granddaughter; and one daughter-in-law, Cheryl DeKay, Plover.
She was also preceded in death by one son, Larry; four sisters, Loretta Witkowski, Esther Przybylski, Lorraine Gagas and Virginia Repinski; and four brothers, John, Florian, Andrew and Harry Witkowski.
