A send-off for 2012 Olympian and Stevens Point native Ben Provisor will be held at 5 Star Lanes in Plover from 6 to 9 p.m. on Thursday, July 19.
Guests will be able to meet with Provisor during the “Big Ben Olympic Send-Off,” while his father, Dennis, the original keyboard player for the 1960s and 1970s rock band The Grass Roots, will perform the group’s songs with his current band, The Hits.
Tickets cost $10 for the event, which will help raise money to send Provisor’s family to London to see the 2009 Stevens Point Area Senior High School (SPASH) graduate make his Olympic debut in Greco-Roman Wrestling Aug. 5-7.
