Chester A. Bembenek, 90, Stevens Point, died Thursday, July 12, 2012, at Care Partners, while under the care of Ministry Home Care-Hospice Services.
Private funeral services were held.
Shuda Funeral Services and Crematory assisted the family with arrangements.

Mr. Bembenek was born April 1, 1922, in the town of Stockton, a son of the late Dominic and Laura (Czerwonka) Bembenek. He attended local schools.
He was married to Bernice Check on Nov. 28, 1942, at Sacred Heart Parish in Polonia.
The couple settled in Stevens Point until moving to Wausau in 1961. He was a semi-truck driver for Moland Bros. and later Glendenning Trucking until his retirement in 1979.
He was a member of Teamsters, Local 710.
After his retirement, the couple returned to the Stevens Point area where he was a member of the grounds crew at the Stevens Point Country Club.
Survivors include his wife; three sons, Chester (Elsie), Wausau, Larry, Green Bay, and Daniel (Holly), Custer; two daughters, Mary (Gene) Plamann, Antigo, and Jeanne (Steven) Regnier, Plover; 2 brothers, Roman (Marge), Manitowoc, and Donald (Alice), Merrill; three sisters, Bertha Milanowski, Franklin, Louise (David) Stroik, Stevens Point, and Marlene Monreal, Milwaukee; 10 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandson.
He was also preceded in death by two sisters, two brothers, one daughter-in-law and one great-granddaughter.
