Dorla M. Smazal, 79, Auburndale, died Monday, July 9, 2012, at Ministry St. Joseph’s Hospital in Marshfield.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, July 13, at St. Michael Catholic Church in Hewitt, with the Rev. Peter Raj officiating. Burial will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Marshfield.
Visitation will be at the church from 9:30 a.m. Friday until the Mass.
A memorial will be established at a later date.

Mrs. Smazal was born Sept. 29, 1932, in the town of Cassel in Marathon County, a daughter of the late Joseph and Mathilda (Lang) Lang. She attended St. Mary’s Parochial School in Marathon and Marathon High School. She also attended St. Rose Convent in La Crosse.
In her younger years, she worked at Marathon Cheese Corp.
She was married to Vernon F. Smazal on Oct. 9, 1957, at St. Mary Catholic Church in Marathon.
Survivors include her husband; six children, Fern, David (Laura) and Francis, all of Marshfield, Laureen (Bill) Vruwink Jr., Milladore, Brian (Karen), Auburndale, and Pamela (Kurt) Braun, Stratford; two sisters, Adeline Sellung, Edgar, and Marian Huth, Marshfield; one brother, Lawrence Lang, Arpin; and 14 grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by four brothers, Emil, Alex, Arthur and Phillip Lang; one sister, Clara Lang; and one grandson.
