Craig “Archie” Hansen said Archie’s Cocktail Lounge may have been the bar with the longest history of single-party ownership in the city at almost 35 years, before he and his wife, Sue, sold it last week.
On Sunday, July 1, the Hansens passed the torch to Kathy and Ron Konkol, who took over ownership and will rename the bar, located at 2317 Division St. on the city’s Southside Square, “Archie’s Still.” The Konkols said they plan to maintain the atmosphere and clientele that have given Archie’s a “home away from home” feel over the years.
