Up 6-2 heading into the bottom of the eighth inning, the ninth-ranked Stevens Point Sixers Legion baseball team looked like it was about to hand the second-ranked Plover Black Sox their first loss of the season on Tuesday, June 26.
However, the Black Sox rallied for three runs in the eighth and one more in the bottom of the ninth to tie the game at 6-6 and force extra innings.
There, the Sixers (4-4, 1-3) scored a run in the top of the 10th to take a 7-6 lead, before Plover (12-0, 4-0) answered with two runs in the bottom half of the inning to pull out an 8-7 win over its archrival and remain unbeaten.
