Verna F. Haas, 97, formerly of 2540 Water St., Stevens Point, died Monday, June 25, 2012, at North Haven Assisted Living in Stevens Point, while under the care of Ministry Home Care-Hospice Services.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 3 p.m. Friday at St. Peter Catholic Church in Stevens Point, with the Rev Arul Joseph V. officiating. Burial will be in Guardian Angel Cemetery in Stevens Point.
Visitation will be in the St. Faustina Room of the church from 2 p.m. Friday until the Mass.
Memorials in her name will be established at a later date.

Mrs. Haas was born Nov. 8, 1914, in Stevens Point, a daughter of the late Joseph and Magdeline (Wodarzak) Losinski. She attended local schools.
She was married to Frederick Haas on May 16, 1942, in Chicago, Ill. He died on April 21, 1970.
She worked for Johnson Fairbox/Keene Corporation in Chicago, Ill.
Survivors include one brother, Lawrence (Ruth) Losinski, Stevens Point; and nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by two sisters, Bernice Mielke and Gladys Jakusz; and one brother, John Losinski.
