Rodale L. “Rody” Brekke, 78, Fremont, father of two Portage County residents, died Friday, June 22, 2012, at Theda Clark Medical Center in Neenah.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday at Trinity Lutheran Church in Waupaca, with the Rev. Jennifer DeNetz officiating. Burial will be at a later date in Oak Hill Cemetery in Neenah.
Visitation will be at the church from 11 a.m. Monday until the services.
A memorial fund has been established in his name.

Mr. Brekke was born April 21, 1934, in Wausau, a son of the late Andrew and Genevieve (Kopchinski) Brekke. He graduated from Cudahy High School in 1952, and then attended University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee from 1952 to 1955.
He went on to work in the drywall trade for 40 years until retiring.
He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Waupaca.
Survivors include his wife, Karla; two sons, Kevin (Karla), Edgerton, and Kenneth (Brenda), Plover; three daughters, Karen (Ray) Kasper, Lexington, Ky., Kristine (Mark) Kranski, Custer, and Kathleen (Dennis) Westaby, La Crosse; one stepdaughter, Jessica (Gary) Cowan, Appleton; one sister, Genny Brekke, Milwaukee; 13 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; his stepmother, Leona Brekke, Cushing; two stepbrothers, David and Sidney Lund; and one stepsister, Lois Andree.
He was also preceded in death by two brothers, Ronald and Robert; one half-brother, Andy; and one grandson.
