Alois Kubowski, 80, a Portage County native, died Tuesday, June 19, 2012.
There will be no service. His ashes will be interned in King Veterans Cemetery in King.
Mr. Kubowski was born Feb. 9, 1932, in Portage County, a son of the late August and Rose Kubowski.
He served in the U.S. Army in 1954 during the Korean War.
He was married to Christine Niemczyk on Sept. 17, 1955.
He started his own business in welding and salvage in 1965 and ran the business until he retired.
Survivors include his wife; one daughter, Donna, Oklahoma City, Okla.; and one son, David, Hinton, Okla.
