Donna Mae Gerds, 66, Stevens Point, died Tuesday June 12, 2012, at her home, while under the care of Ministry Home Care-Hospice Services.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Pisarski/Dzikoski Funeral Home in Stevens Point, with Pastor Dwight Anderson officiating.
Burial will be in Zion Lutheran Cemetery in Iola.
Visitation will be at the funeral home from 9 a.m. Friday until the services.
A memorial in her name will be established at a later date.

Mrs. Gerds was born Feb. 8, 1946, in Chicago, Ill., a daughter of the late Lester and Elaine (Svoboda) Doerfler.
She graduated from Proviso High School in Maywood, Ill., in 1964. She also graduated with a bachelor of arts degree from Chicago Teachers College and a master’s degree in education from Concordia College in River Forest, Ill.
She was married to Jim Wrosch. The couple later divorced.
She was married to Alan W. Gerds on May 4, 2002, at Peace Lutheran Church in Amherst.
She was a teacher at Orchard Place School in Illinois for 10 years. She then was a teacher for the Iola-Scandinavia School district for 23 years, retiring in 2002.
She was a member of the FTA, Girl Scouts and VISTA.
Survivors include her husband; three stepdaughters, Cara (Lou) Frias, Iola, April (Tracy) Weed, Tennessee, and Kathy Minor, Hartford; three stepsons, Aaron (Elizabeth) Erdmann and Darren (Susan) Gerds, both of Iola, and Jeff Gerds, Hartland; 17 stepgrandchildren; and two great-stepgrandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by one brother, Lester Doerfler Jr.
