John M. Britz, 79, town of Stockton, died Sunday, June 3, 2012, at Aspirus Hospital in Wausau, following a brief diagnosis with acute myleoid leukemia.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday at St. Mary Immaculate Conception Parish in Custer, with the Rev. Robert Konkol officiating. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
Visitation will be held at Shuda Funeral Chapel from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday, with a rosary at 7 p.m., and at the church from 9:30 to 10:15 a.m. Friday.

Mr. Britz was born Feb. 17, 1933, in the town of Stockton, a son of the late Adolph and Loretta (Kruzitski) Britz.
He was married to Ann Herman on July 14, 1956, at St. Mary of Mount Carmel Parish in Fancher.
He was a milkman for more than 40 years. He started delivering cans of milk with Borden’s, and retired in 1997 after selling his own business.
Survivors include his wife; three sons, Brian (Karen) and Brad (Bette), both of Stevens Point, and John P. “Jack” (Lori), Rosholt; three daughters, Mary (Anthony) Mocadlo, Amherst, Julie (Kenny) Wierzba, Rosholt, and Amy Britz, Plover; and nine grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
