Mildred M. Stanke, 93, Stevens Point, a former owner of Stanke’s Service Station in Nelsonville, died Thursday, May 3, 2012, at Ministry St. Michael’s Hospital in Stevens Point.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. James Catholic Church in Amherst, with the Rev. Robert Pedretti officiating. Interment will be in the parish cemetery.
Visitation will be at the Jungers-Holly Funeral Home from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday, with a rosary service at 7 p.m., and at the church from 9:30 a.m. Tuesday until the Mass.

Mrs. Stanke was born Aug. 21, 1918, in Shantytown, a daughter of the late Myron and Ella (Bentley) Barnes.
She was married to Bernard J. Stanke on Sept. 12, 1936 at St. Peter Catholic Church in Stevens Point. He died on April 26, 1996.
They owned and operated Stanke’s Service Station in Nelsonville for many years.
She was a member of St. James Catholic Church in Amherst.
Survivors include one son, Bernard Jr. (Mary), Eagle River; one daughter, Ella Weetz, Amherst; five grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by two sisters, Annie (Kenneth) Higgins and Edna (Harold) Berndt; and one grandson.
