Dennis D. Megal, 68, Stevens Point, died Monday, May 21, 2012, at his home.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at St. Mary of Mount Carmel Catholic Church in Fancher, with the Rev. Jude Dioka officiating.
Burial will be in parish cemetery.
Visitation will be at the church from 9:30 a.m. Friday until the Mass.

Mr. Megal was born May 16, 1944, in Stevens Point, a son of the late Dennis V. and Grace (Platta) Megal. He attended local schools in Stevens Point and graduated from P.J. Jacobs High School in 1962.
He entered the U.S. Air Force on Jan. 22, 1963 in Milwaukee. He was honorably discharged on Jan. 20, 1967, at Lockbourne Air Force Base in Ohio. He then served in the Air Force Reserves until Jan. 21, 1969.
After the services, he returned home to run the Megal family dairy farm for many years. In 2003 he sold the farm to his half-brother John Kuffel and continued to help.
He collected Massey Harris tractors and built a plane from scratch on the farm.
Survivors include four sisters, Dorothy “Jean” (Dick) Sellers, Cottonwood, Ariz., Mary (Jim) Lavin, Williamsburg, Va., Rose Ann (John) Sumich, Blackly, Ore., and Irene Diane (Dorland) Neale, Florence, Ore.; and one half-brother, John (Terri) Kuffel, Stevens Point.
He was also preceded in death by his stepfather, Felix Kuffel.
