Charlotte Elizabeth Meeks, 86, Stevens Point, died Wednesday, May 30, 2012.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 9, at St. Therese Catholic Church in Milwaukee. Entombment will be in Holy Cross Cemetery in Milwaukee.
Visitation will be at the church from 9 a.m. Saturday, June 9, until the services.
A memorial fund has been established for the School Sisters of Notre Dame-District Africa, 13105 Watertown Plank Road, Elm Grove, WI 53122.
Mrs. Meeks was born Feb. 6, 1926, in Milwaukee, a daughter of the late George and Elizabeth (Goebel) King. She graduated from Pius XI High School in 1943.
She was married to Earl Loran Meeks on June 24, 1947. He died in 1996.
She worked for JC Penney.
She was a member of St. Therese Catholic Church in Milwaukee.
Survivors include two sons, Kenneth (Deborah), Hubertus, and George (Miriam), Whiting; one sister, Mary Jo Kerchoff; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by one daughter, Jeananne Meeks; two brothers, Wayne King and Jerry King; and one sister, Jean Gill.
