Verlea N. “Toots” Morey, 76, 3601 E. Maria Drive, Stevens Point, a former owner of Morey’s Bar, died Sunday, April 8, 2012, at Ministry St. Joseph Hospital in Marshfield.
A memorial service will be held at 11:30 a.m. Friday at Pisarski/Dzikoski Funeral Home in Stevens Point. Burial will be in Guardian Angel Cemetery in Stevens Point.
Visitation will be at the funeral home from 9 a.m. Friday until the service.
A memorial in her name will be established at a later date.

Mrs. Morey was born May 18, 1935, in Waupaca, a daughter of the late Clifford and Audrey (Cady) Holman. She was employed at St. Michael’s Hospital in her younger years.
She was married to Jerome Morey on Nov. 26, 1955, at St. Stephen Catholic Church in Stevens Point.
The couple owned and operated Morey’s Bar in Stevens Point for more than 50 years until their retirement in 2005.
Survivors include four sons, Dale (Debbie), Junction City, and Daryl (Gwen), Dean (Birgitte) and Daniel (Cathy), all of Stevens Point; two daughters, Debra (Mark) Strong, Fond du Lac, and Deanna Holtz, Mosinee; one brother, Darrell (Nancy) Holman; and 17 grandchildren.
